Bill Richards: Miscellaneous Arrangements Minimize
1979 - present
I have arranged countless jazz standards and other pieces for solo piano and for the groups that I play with.
Techniques include re-harmonizations, adaptations to different feels, grooves, and meters,
composition of intros, endings, interludes, alternative or extemporized blowing changes, etc.


1997
An arrangement of two traditional Irish songs, "Cerrick Fergus" and "Star of Munster,"
for symphony orchestra, 10 min.
Commissioned by Orchestra London.
Premiered by Orchestra London, January 1997, Centennial Hall, London, Ontario.


1992
A piano transcription/arrangement, for publication, of the jingle "Teachers Together"
(theme song of the Alberta Teachers' Association).
Produced by Airworks Media Services and The Support Group (Edmonton, Alberta).


1990
Arrangements and sequencer/synthesizer realizations of approximately 20 pieces
composed by Helen Lumby for the children's television series Size Small Island II.


1989
An arrangement of Ben E. King's song, Stand By Me, for choir SATB and jazz ensemble.
Produced by Legal Follies, University of Saskatchewan.


1987
Arrangements of art songs, pop songs, and French Canadian folk songs for baritone, violin, 'cello and piano.
Commissioned by CBC Regina for a forty-minute program of music
celebrating 35 years of French Radio in Saskatchewan.
Featuring vocalist Henri Loiselle.
The concert was broadcasted nationally (Radio Canada)

movements II and III, for symphony orchestra.
